Buying your next vehicle can be an exciting, yet difficult decision. There are an overwhelming number of points to consider, but when you get right down to it, your bottom line can be the most influential factor when deciding which vehicle is right for you (and your budget).
The average vehicle purchase typically takes around 15 hours or so to complete. That’s 15 hours of researching, shopping, and negotiating that go into getting you behind the wheel of your next dream car. When you put that much time into your decision, you want to be sure you’re getting the best bang for your buck.
If getting your money’s worth out of your next vehicle is important to you, you’ve come to the right spot! In fact, Kia just received three awards for superior quality and value to prove it. The 2021 Kia Sorento, Kia Soul, and Kia Forte have each been recognized as winners of U.S. News & World Report’s ‘Best Car for the Money’ awards in their respective categories.
2021 Kia Sorento: 3-Row SUVs Best Car for the Money
The all-new, fourth generation SUV has been on a bit of a winning streak lately, having been named 2021’s Large SUV of the Year, appearing on the list of Best New Cars for 2021, and more. The editors at U.S. News & World Report have joined the Sorento’s growing list of fans, highlighting its spacious and comfortably upscale interior, high tech features, and impressive gas mileage.
“The Kia Sorento’s low price and operating costs make it a great value, and that value comes without compromises on features, comfort or performance,” said Jamie Page Deaton, executive editor, U.S. News & World Report.
2021 Kia Soul: Subcompact SUVs Best Car for the Money
Just like the Sorento, it looks like the Kia Soul is on a roll. This is the second-consecutive ‘Best Car for the Money’ win for Kia's latest Soul model, with this year’s award focusing on the roomy cargo area, user-friendly technology, and spacious seating.
“The Kia Soul has plenty of interior space and an excellent infotainment system. Its long warranty keeps repair costs low, making it an excellent long-term value,” said Deaton.
2021 Kia Forte: Compact Cars Best Car for the Money
Completing the trifecta of ‘Best Car for the Money’ awards is none other than the fine-tuned Kia Forte. The Forte faced tough competition from the latest Toyota Corolla and other small sedans, but ultimately came out on top for its remarkably good fuel economy, spacious cabin and storage areas, along with its extensive list of standard features.
Jamie Deaton says, “Car reviewers love the Forte for its roomy passenger cabin and long list of standard features. Its low price and long-term ownership costs make it a great value. This is a car that buyers – and their budgets – will enjoy owning for the long haul.”
In order to determine each category’s winner, U.S. News & World Report uses a combination of quality and value to measure a vehicle’s overall score. Quality is calculated using ranking based on safety, reliability, and a consensus of industry expert’s opinions, while value is measured by a vehicle’s five-year total total cost of ownership compared with the average price paid for the vehicle.
