2021 Was The Best Year Ever For Kia Sales In Canada

In 2020, Kia gained more market share than any other auto brand in the Canadian market. How do you top that?

Despite all of the challenges posed by a pandemic and a global supply chain crisis, Kia set an all-time record with 79,198 sales in Canada in 2021. That includes the best-ever month (June 2021, with 8,850 sales) and the best-ever annual results for plug-in models. Kia's plug-in hybrids and electrics produced 6% of the brand's total Canadian volume in 2021.

In seven months, from February to July as well as September, Kia produced record monthly results. The best-selling Kia in Canada is now the Seltos. Kia's top three vehicles – Seltos, Forte, Sportage – account for half of all Kia sales. 2021 was also a huge month for Certified Pre-Owned Kias: 10 months produced record-breaking results for Kia CPOs. 

How do we top this?

2022 is going to be a big year for new Kia products, with introductions including the all-electric EV6, Sorento plug-in hybrid, a revamped Forte, and an all-new Sportage that offers best-in-class interior and cargo volume. Could this be yet another record year for Kia?
